The Occupational Health Card (OHC) is a mandatory requirement for all employees in Dubai. The card is issued to individuals after they undergo a medical examination and are found fit to work. The purpose of the card is to ensure that employees are healthy and capable of performing their jobs without any risk to themselves or others.

The Occupational Health Card Services provided by DHA are designed to ensure that employees are healthy and fit to work. The services include a medical examination, which assesses the individual's physical and mental health. The examination includes various tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, and vision tests. The medical examination also includes a review of the individual's medical history to identify any pre-existing medical conditions.

Once an individual passes the medical examination, they are issued with an Occupational Health Card. The card is valid for two years and must be renewed after the expiry date. The card is mandatory for all employees working in Dubai, including domestic workers, and failure to obtain or renew the card can result in fines and penalties.

In addition to the medical tests, the OHC program also requires that workers attend a health and safety training course. This course covers topics such as workplace hazards, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). By educating workers about the risks associated with their jobs and how to mitigate them, the training course helps to reduce the likelihood of accidents and injuries on the job

To apply for an OHC, employees must first obtain a residence visa and a labor card from the UAE government. Once these documents are obtained, the employee can schedule an appointment with one of the authorized medical centers or clinics in Dubai. These centers are approved by DHA to perform the medical tests and examinations required for the OHC program.

After the employee completes all of the necessary tests and training, they will receive an OHC, which is valid for two years. The OHC includes the employee's name, photograph, and details about their medical status and occupational history. Employers are required to renew their employees' OHCs every two years to ensure that they remain fit to work.

In addition to the OHC program, DHA also offers a range of occupational health services to employers and employees in Dubai. These services include workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and consultations with occupational health professionals. By working with employers to identify and mitigate potential health hazards in the workplace, DHA helps to create a safer and healthier working environment for all employees in Dubai.
